That is a thing a GREAT beauty :D and reminds me why, from a position of total 15yr old ignorance, I fell in love with BMWs all those years ago! Coachlines and quality engineering- it was a very long time before I ever rode a bike but I remember a lad at school had a black BMW 600 (Ozzie B ?) and his dad came to school on his new H**da 750 and we stood around waiting for him to come out and kick-start it. Did we feel foolish when he sauntered out, sat on it, thumbed the starter and rode off! Electric starter on a 750 plastic rocket coooo!

Strewth! That's 1967/8 and I remember clear as a bell - can't recall last week though :-(

Sean - you are a fortunate person :-)

Nostalgia rules, reminds me when I was 18 on my CB250 and the local rich kid turned up on his summer toy a brand new R90S(present from Daddy). we all tried not tlo look impressed but deep down the green god of envy was lurking. Made a fatal mistake 2 years later after I had a CB750 nicked I bought an Ducati 860GT, WORSTdecision of my life put me off bikes for years. So when I saw sense and returned to bikes had to be a beemer and eventually an S.
