Race bike stuff-new toy

last October saw some track action in Calafat in Spain, I thought I'd share some photos, and add in the race bike I just bought... I was thinking to join Gus (from the forum here) in the Boxercup series, but having ridden a bunch of 2 strokes, I decided to relive my yoof, and go back to 'stink wheels'
I just picked up this Yamaha RD350, it's running a YPVS motor and is made to look like a 'Fag packet' French series bike... plan is to run it in the Catalan classic series this year...
I got to ride this 350 Bultaco at Calafat, it belongs to Freddies racing, and is the bike used in the endurance series, the motor is quite rare as it's a MX barrel, with the GP bottom end (this is translated Spanish!) it's a quick little bike, I had a lot of fun on that, it does make you realise how the ride position differs from today, and how 'locked in' you are.. the guy on the #93 bike is Eammon Cleere, Eammon was British 250 champ back in the early 80's, raced GP's and Endurance for Suzuki, and was Kevin Schwanz race engineer...
I also got to ride the Honda Moto 3 bike, truly stunning to ride, I need to lose about 2 kilo's and about 40 years to be fast on it, but an amazing experience
anyway, I thought I'd share... as it's 30+ years since I owned/fettled a race engine, I'm off to buy main jets, 2 stroke oil and some measuring jugs..
