Ned, presumably the bolt on version is single use as well. Is that what you use?

Mike.

Having a K1300S sport now I use the MC3 on the inside lower fairing as it can be seen standing next to the bike,

Although it's not the prettiest sollution, sellotaping it to your bike is the best way.
Mines taped to the screen, taped over the front of the disc.
Easy to nick yes, but utterly useless to the thief as it cannot be tampered with.

That's just a variation on my sellotape method.
If you wanted to do a neater job you could just laminate the disc.
Both ways make the disc useless to theives but of course doesn't prevent it from being stolen.
It's a type of crime that is dwindling now though, thanks to the increasing use of ANPR systems.

Keep original at home.

Apparently so .

Problem goes away .

As an ex cop, (back in SA ) that's not a good thing if you aren't linked to a pc permanently, going to take an age to check if car is taxed , but that is their problem now

it starts september 1st for the new reg, covers all vehicles so i think you will see a lot more police cars with anpr fitted around after that date, also you can buy your tax monthly to.

I rarely ever stick the most recent disk on the bike which I know is asking for trouble and I was once pulled over in my car for not displaying the most recent tax disk the conversation went something like this...

"Does this car have tax?"
"yes, but I am yet to put it in the window, sorry. It's at home"
"Are you known to the police?"
"No???"
"Okay, make sure you put the tax in the window".

Never had anyone take the tax disk off my bike, why would they? The police/cameras do reg checks mostly don't they?
