Gents... my $0.02 worth.
I purchased a LED replacement for my R11S from Adventure Tech here in Canada. http://adventuretech.ca/

It takes the place of the bulb and reflector in the housing... plug-and-play. Has multiple settings; from on/off like a normal bulb, to the setting I have it set on (as soon as you're on the brakes the light pulses slowly, with the pulses speeding up to a solid light over about 1-2 sec.)

Works great for me.

Price listed is $125CAD... with the current exchange rate, that's dirt cheap.

Mike
I tried to order one from http://adventuretech.ca/ a couple of weeks ago, told they were no longer available for R1100s.
I've ordered a brake light modulator from Lakeside Electronics, LLC
mills.pete@lakesideelectronics.net.

Well crap... that's too bad, because it's a good unit. Good luck with the Lakeside unit.
