At 325mm long x 22mm wide I recon a couple of these stuck on the side of the pannier lids might stop 'em collecting so many scratches. :wink: They're flat and sticky-backed and are just pressed on to follow the curve of the bodywork. :)

I used to use a similar black strip on my K100RS panniers , I think from a universal car door kit

Do you have a link to those mate?
I'm in the middle of spraying my 'Touring' lids so if I get a good 'result' I'll be looking at these or something similar to preserve the finish.. :)

Funnily enough Nick I've been looking for them for ages but there doesn't seem to be the universal stuff available any more :(
