Winter project begins

Postby GRAgusta » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:30 pm

With a view to the forthcoming significant birthday - first time my bike has reached 10 years old - on 1st March 2013, I have launched a winter project.

Ready to start - both wheels in the air,

And later, with many thanks to Bikerhoss in moving the stuck nuts.

What you gonna do Mr :?:

Looks a liitle like mine, but mine still has the forks in but the back wheel out, at the moment. Anyone know if the bottom of the fork leg, (the bit that the caliper fastens to and always goes manky), can be removed from the upper part. Never seen it discussed, so my guess is that it can't.
This ain't Twitter you know!

The lower yoke is manky. And the silver paint on the forks is very thin.

Also, following Jenny while she was learning gave the nose cone a lot of stone impact damage, so:

Silver paint on the front end.
Repaint nose, and both side panels
New windscreen
Since they are off, replace the rubber brake hoses with shiny braided ones (sorry Blackal, and ....... no rim tape).
And, give it a thorough deep clean.

:D

Fork legs have come for Christmas - looking good - the rebuild begins.....

When there's too much noise in the house, I'll be in the garage.
