BCR rebuild/recommission

I'm expecting a parcel from Lennie in the next few weeks so sprockets, tube and chip ordered.

Going for the Michelin pilot 4 tyres as they have been recommended by friends and forum also.

Just left with whether to do the suspension as I guess it cannot have much life left in it, (visually it looks good) I read the article and previous link to a bigger article, about lowering, raising keeping same etc I've had a look at the nitron webpage and a few others and now totally confused as to who makes what, and what to order as I could see any differences between the models r1100s and bcr stated on the manufacturers info

I wasn't particularly unhappy with the suspension prior to parking it up 4 years ago but it would be nice to have everything done in this hit, any suggestions/knowledge on what's a good buy and from who?

its a mid 2002 model blue and white boxer cup replika

Although I don't use my S much these days , in recent years I replaced front and rear with Wilbers built to my weight and the ride was transformed .(I didn't bother with hydraulic preload but made the rear height adjustable) The front shock i think was partially seized ( although I've never got around to stripping it.) I used wilbers because there's a local agent / suspension expert and also because of recommendations from friends. If you can remove the shocks and measure the lengths that may help suppliers too. Wilbers list most models and lengths.

Have a look at Ramshox (http://www.ramshox.com). They do front and rear shocks for the R1100S.
They also do the RAMSTRUT, which is the adjustable rear paralever for adjusting the ride height.

Also their RAMLEVER, the front Telelever with pivot mount shortened by 10mm to sharpen the steering.

Quite a few posts on here if you use the search facility.

Good price and discount for Boxertrix people!

I have a RAMSHOX and race fork springs on my K1 and they are good quality.

was there someone from this here hallowed forum who had the original shocks re built? (or was I dreaming?) I've just been in touch with a guy in Preston (TW Suspension) who has asked me to send pics to see if he can re build my shocks

These guys say they can rebuild most O/E shocks. £100 plus £10 postage and an extra £70 if a new rod is needed.

Thanks Guys for the info.

I have been in touch with Wilbers and awaiting reply, he is sure they do one for the boxer cup, however, still might rebuild the original.

Hopefully get the bike back this coming weekend, I know dynos read high in some cases but its putting out 92bhp at the wheel on rpm in Northampton dyno can't remember the torque figure, Iains seat of the pants dyno said it was running strongly and he tests bikes a lot more powerful than mine (ducatis mainly)

I put Lennies sprokets in my 1150GS, made a big difference, I dont need them in my 11S!
take your time installing them, not hard, but be careful.
DONT let the cam chain drop down in to the engine!
Lennie was superhelp when I was installing mine, I had a query and he replied within an hour or so (but I am in the same country)
