new bike

Postby Hayden » Tue Jun 16, 2015 10:32 pm

Well, after 6 months deliberation its here,
and in true boxertrix tradition its not a flat twin..

it was origionaly a toss up between a Tiger 800 and Beemer F800gs, others got a look in, VFR 800, New beemer R1200rs, F800r, even a Yam Tracer/MT09.

It had to be good on my short commute, be fun at the weekends, cope with the odd trackday, tour very occasionally, and be lighter than my sprint Rs.

Choosing was becoming tricky, in the end it came down to engine configuration, it had to be a triple ( sorry ) so test riding the Yam and Tiger was next.

Then I remembered what I got into biking for, it was fun, so i bought one of these... :D

fun, oh yes....

cheers

Steve :D

Very nice Steve, so when do we get to see it in the metal?

ridden back to back with the MT09, it quickly becomes apparent why the Triumph costs more.

Do it ... I am already booked for next year and ferry tickets are already selling out.
Took a friend last year after his cancer scare and he said it was the best holiday of his life, bit embarrassing as his wife was in the room :D

Atmosphere and locals are greta and then the racing just tops it off

And the triumph would sound epic over the Mountain on full chat !

Very nice, Steve. 8)

I'm sure lots of photos will be forthcoming of the weekend's trip to Flash - will do a warts'n'all thread in Ride Reports on our return next week. :)

Sorry chap. Saw this response after I got back but no room for tabs I'm afraid (and they are not that much cheaper anyway!).

Alas can't catch up this weekend either as we have another selection shoot near Cheddar so away Sat/Sun.

Start saving your pennies for next years Flash Tour and see you in July :)
