R1200GS

Postby Al » Mon May 02, 2016 3:34 pm

Took the plunge yesterday and joined the GS dark side, picking an 06 plate 1200 in silver/grey on saturday, well looked after with 25k on the clock and full bmw dealer history, has nearly new tyres, ABS, heated grips, aux lights, engine guards and a vario top box, then I got two side boxes off ebay for £240 delivered so an expensive day!!
Next job is to sort garage to fit 4 bikes, a trailer and various MR2 parts.

Congrats on the new ride Al, or should it be commiserations 😜 I don't usually acknowledge GS'ers only because they've frequently not responded. But they are so prolific now if I don't wave up then I shall probably not wave at anyone lol. Seriously I hope you both really enjoy the new machine, ever fancied Hawes in September? There is the Wensleydale creamery there.

Even considered Scotland Phil, was even going to let Sue fly up!! but other plans apparently. Hawes could be a plan, we have friends in the Cannock area to break the journey up a bit.
I have found the heated grips button but will have too see if there is anywhere to plug my heated vest in when I pick it up

I will wave to you, maybe if one does it the others might follow.
