...razzing around in my new toy:

Still running in so only brief forrays above 5000 revs but it's a little cracker. Bloody fast (for a car...)

Before anyone else says it: yes, it is a Wankel.

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Larvely!! Nice colour too - good to see one that's not in red or black.

Very nice new toy Paul, Afraid you still have to come to Wales/France on the 2 wheeled toy though.

I will certainly be on two wheels for Wales (unless it looks like raining...)

well... When you buy an RX8, part of the deal is a day at ProDrive up in Warickshire to play on their handling circuit and skid pan. I will probably wait until the car has at least 1k on the clocks before going up for that.

Nice car !

I tried one last year and was tempted but wanted something with a rag top so plumped for a Nissan 350Z Roadster in the end.

Which I've just traded in last week for this :

Some folk have too much money. :(

(nice motor CJS) ;)

Alway maintained that if I ever came into a large wad of cash I'd buy myself an old 911. Preferably a 1973 Carrera RS.

A friend of mine used to own one of these - it was a truly visceral experience driving it. And a noise to die for. :)

Paul that's a beauty, and I love the colour, my last 525 was very close to that colour. The wife, who normally doesn't give a monkey about cars decided a few months ago that she'd seen a car she'd like next, no idea what it was, so after a couple of minutes questioning, and then a picture to confirm, it is indeed the RX8 that she wants ! ! !

I'll need to show her yours as that's the best colour I've seen one in.

Enjoy

Paul,

It's a special edition called the "Nemesis". It also has stone coloured rather than black leather interior, which makes the cabin seem much larger and lighter. If you want one, jump in quick 'cause there can't be too many left floating around the dealer network.

I chose this over the likes of something like a Porche because (a) I couldn't justify the extra wad a Porche would cost and (b) I really need the 4 seat capability. It's amazing how much room there is in the back for a fully grown adult and the clever doors make it a breeze to get in and out of the back.
