thanks for the warm welcome, will try and make LLangollen, Im in sunny old colwyn Pete. Ive messaged the fella selling the yelow/grey bike. currently bikeless after selling my bandit 600. im new to biking having only passed my test about 18mts ago. my brother (on here as edsyboy) has a boxer, ive always loved the look of them, went out on his and found it quite uncomfortable but realise i need to give time to get used to it. dunno why but i keep beeing drawn to th em and now i think the time has come to bite the bullet

Ah right, I've met your brother, nice guy. If you've gotten used to your Bandit 600 the R1100S is completely different, where the little Suzuki would be a quick steering, smooth, rev box with very little bottom end and mid range with a slick gearbox the boxer is a slow steering, lumpy engined torque rich engine with a "mans" gearbox. However, once acclimatised they're fantastic and for real road use can rarely be bettered.
