Hi, I am from Sweden and got a 2002 BMW R1100s. It is Dakar yellow and Black.
When I bought it the former owner told me that hi had bought it (if I rememer it right) kuwait (it could be some other country to down there) when hi was living and and working there.

At the time BMW was having some kind of a big event and they took a r1100s and put on some special euqipment on it.
Then Randy Mamola was driving it and did some stunts and some fast driving with it for the public.
Then BMW have it for display for some time and he then bought it drove it there forr some year and took it home to Sweden.

Do some of you guys here know something about it?

I bought it at a shop and when I was there I phoned the former owner and hi then told me this story. He had allredy traded it in for a otherr bike so h had no reason to lie about it.
What do you think?
I would be verry happy if some one have an answer.

great regards, Kennet Andersson

Welcome in, Kennet.

I've never heard anything about your bike, but what are you aware - is different about it?

Belly pan, Ohlins Shocks - anything like that?

It could be that BMW were out to impress in Kuwait - and dressed it up?

Cheers!

Hi Blackal, thanks for your fast reply. I have no reason to not believe former owner hi had allready bought his new bike and no reason to lie about it.
It could be anohter country ex dubai, I dont remember that, but it was a big event and I think BMW was celebrating something maybe a new BMW center.

Changes that BMW did is what I know: Wider rims, eprom, airfilter, silencer, carbon fiber bellypan, carb fibre front fender(maybe original), some differents in suspension, decals on gastank and bellypan, I think the color sheme is not that usual either, sportpackage and most of all that Randy Mamola had fun with it.

Can you post some photos from different angles?

It sounds like it has been spec'd up by Regional BMW.
