Morning all
Been an 1150GS rider for years, now looking for an 1100S
first 2wheel moto I ever rode, a mandarin one that a guy at work had to run in for preparation for the UK series of the boxer cup.
I think it was 2001.

Anyway, have read lots last night registered and logged in and more to read!

Thanks
Hay Ewe

Welcome. Walking past a Manderin 1998 R1100S daily in the work car park finally inspired me to return to motorcycling after nearly 3 decades absence, so i can understand your're fascination :-)

9 for sale on BikeSales atm, which includes 2 BCRs. A couple of really low km good examples in NSW, if Silver or Dark Grey work for you. Otherwise, all much higher kms, only 1 in Qld & none in SA. You'll have to be prepared to go out of you're way to get a really good one or just keep playing the waiting game imo.

Good luck! & hope to see you back with the real-deal :-)

Few weeks yet till I pick mine up, just best option logistic wise.
Its a 2hr flight and then about 45 min drive to get there, doesnt sound far but every two weeks I fly 3.5hrs to get to work and then 4.5 with 1hr wait on my way home.
it will be a two day ride home at least

Yep, sort of FIFO but I have a flexable sort of rosta and no B2B

yep, Bike Sales. Was in the area and had the opportunity to have a look and ride.
Do you know the bike?

Stain Tune with Y peice
Panniers
Top box with rack, cant remember which brand at the mo
Bagster tank cover and tank bag.
Braided brake hoses
ABS removed
Seat has been recovered / foam adjusted
Carbon rear wheel hugger mud guard thing
Tinted Screen
rear brake lever changed for something else
Front brake and clutch lever changed for something else
I think the rear shock has had a different weight spring installed, but OE Showa shock remains

Current owner is the second owner, previously it was owned by a Frenchman who did all the above items.
I didn't look very closely, but only saw one paint chip on it. The forward section of the front mudguard has been painted the yellow and there are some blurred edges on it, but only if you look closely, doesn't worry me at all.
Its really clean, unlike my 1150GS (which I dropped day before yesterday and added more scratches to and broke the rear indicator lens)
