New member and first time Boxer (R1100S) owner in Monmouthshire, South Wales...

Hello!
FuzzyEdges (aka Gary).

Hmmm, images proving tricky with Google drive....
And files too large to attach, bear with me while I read the instructions and experiment.

Hi Gary,

There's a guide to posting images at this link.

Cheers & welcome,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

success, and a rather smart blue machine you have there.

Thank you Paul.
I almost purchased one new in 2002 but purchased a Triumph 955i triple instead.
I always had a nagging doubt, but hey 19 years later...

The 'Eagle Eyed' have noticed the missing cover.
I stumbled upon Motorworks by accident (well as accidental as any Google search is) phoned them as I was unsure of a few things, they were charming to speak to and knowledgeable. I ordered a replacement and some service parts. Which arrived just before the weekend. Saturday afternoon was spent twiddling.
Valve clearances, oil and filter change, spark plugs, air filter, pure faff...

Throttle body balance (at idle) and checked at 3000 rpm.
That was a three way fiddle fest. I'm still not convinced I've done it right.

And this seventh fastener on the RHS fairing caught me out. It wasn't present on the LHS one.

Everything is so simple to get at, except the air filter and battery but you already knew that....

Here's to more discovery....
