Hi all,
I have already posted and got answers in here. It was a bit rude of me not to say hello. So here it is.

I have just bought a VERY high mileage 41K mile 03 R1100S. I have had a license since 2001, been through KMX125, XT600, Bandit 600, ZXR750R, TL1000S (x2, Drooooooool) XR650R supermoto and now the R1100S. Never rode any for more than 2000 miles. And havent ridden in last two years, so essentially coming back into biking.

Welcome Udhi,

That is a fine name you have there, excuse my ignorance but where does it come from and where are you.

I hope you enjoy your return to biking and could not have picked a better bike, well maybe the 1200S would have been better (standing by for the flak I'm about to get).

Hello guys, Thnx for the welcome.

The R1100S wasnt my first choice, would you believe I was out shopping for a Supermoto (!!) But there was dissent in the ranks when I planned to use a Supermoto for a trip into Europe this summer. Wiser minds won, I got the beemer.

I am Sri Lankan by origin. Living in Lancashire. Udhi is short for a 10-letter firstname :shock:

It isn't high mileage for a BM though - just ask Bailey or Jason :shock:

Does it matter, you have ridden one yourself.

Anyway with all this salt about it would rot in a few miles. Getting my other bike on Saturday.

It's good to have yet another Northerner in the fold.

I too came from a supermoto, CCM 604, to the R1100S and I wouldn't change it now, its a superb bike and does everything I want it to do.

I hope you enjoy it when the better weather arrives up t'North.

Looks like we will have a number of new faces to get used to up here :lol:

If you want some advice (as if!!)

a) Do NOT try and compete or stay with PB - he is too damn quick but will slow down when riding with us mere mortals!

b) Do not disrespect the southern softies - they are very sensitive (in touch with their feminine side) and make good friends when/if you get to know them. :wink:

c) Do not disrespect the Kingston Upon Hull posse and NEVER refer to them as being from Humberside! :lol:

d) Never listen to advice from numperties like me

e) Winger is winger - you have been warned :roll:

Blue and White is sooooo passe in a BCR (see my pic ) as is the gratuitous use of foreign phrases when trying to speak English!

Look forward to meeting up when you take your bikes out of mothballs - please wave to the fat person on the K12RS if you see me during work time!
