Hello all.

Postby Daz555 » Thu May 10, 2007 10:45 am

Just a quick hi from me as I enter the heady world of R1100S ownership.

I've been riding for 4 years and this is my second bike after having previously being a Hooner with my CB600FS Hornet (STOLEN :x )I'm an all-weather biker/commuter and do about 400 miles a week.

I only picked up my bike on Monday and here it is:

Completely standard 2000 R1100S but is missing centre stand. Only 3300 miles since new. Previous owner was a wealthy man with A LOT of toys and simply never rode it.

I'll be posting in the techie section in a bit as I have a few queries regarding my new toy.

Good buy! As good as new! I always liked the silver/yellow ones, though it isn't the fastest colour as you'll learn here.

There are some more who use it as a commuter bike and do a lot of miles on it (me too). You'll find out it performs well in that role ... and as a tourer, and as sportsbike, and for the occasional track day.

Cheers for the welcome.

Things I noticed so far:

1. Some colours ARE faster.
2. H0nda is a swear word. Come on....poor little old Honda? :)

Oh ... and you need a signature: a list of all the toys you ever owned.... or a list of all the toys you own nowadays .... or some words of wisdom .... or madness
