Hi Everyone

Postby rasman2k » Sun May 13, 2007 10:14 pm

Got rid of my VFR VTEC about a month ago and got myself this 04 R1100S(S) and I'm absolutely loving it! How much character can a bike have?

It wll be my chariot to Assen in June for the MotoGP :)

Cheers :D

It is pretty tidy for the year but then it's only done 6500 miles. Absolutely lovin it, sure it ain't got the outright poke of a jap 4 but get it in the bends and I think it handles just lovely!! Already given a few 'power rangers' a surprise or two!!!

It's really spooky rasman coz mine had only done 7k when i bought mine as well, wev'e obviously got the same great taste, who needs the poke of a jap 4 anyway these beemers will far outlast most jap bikes in the long term if we look after them anyway, are you going to the burton on trent meet in june coz it would be nice to put a face to a name and have a good chinwag?

Good move ;) We're not into 'bashing' bikes on here usually but I had a VFR800i once - it's the only bike I've owned in 26 years of riding that I've actually made excuses not to ride. A sad state of affairs if there ever was one. Admittedly I now own another H0nda (a Blackbird) but it's a very different kettle of fish.

and got myself this 04 R1100S(S) and I'm absolutely loving it! How much character can a bike have?

Then welcome to the group - the bike looks great, hope you enjoy it (you seem to be) ;)

LOL!! I have to confess this was my second VFR. My first one was the VFR750FV which was pretty much awesome! In the crazy belief that technology can only make things better I got the VTEC...whatta mistaka to maka! Chopped it in after 9 months!! Wanted to love it but couldn't....

Felt the same about BMs, wanted to hate it but couldn't

I notice Razman's rear shock has a yellow spring..... mine is a 2003 model but it is blue.... Is there any significance to this??

Yeah, much longer than your average one

I didn't think about it when I got it (I had the choice of a this one or an 04 BCR). I went on the impression that the BCR was the taller of the two and as I'm only 5'7' in my sunday drag I figured discretion was the better part of valor....

Course when I got home and offered up the center stand I'd got for it....yup floatinig in the breeze
