Autumnal spin out

Postby slparry » Sun Oct 06, 2013 5:41 pm

What a gorgeous autumn day.

Went for a spin out with Paul and Barney (Paul was the one with the K1 at the Welsh weekend and Barney is the one with the B-King)

Met them up at the Ponderosa Cafe then rode up to Betws, followed by a spin up the A470 Crimea Pass to the Lakeside Cafe (that we stopped at on the Welsh Weekend).

From there went down to Maentwrog > Harlech > Barmouth > Bala and home :)

Cracking day for a ride Steve, I headed up over the Yorks Wolds and towards the Dales and whilst I was being remarkably good speed wise I really enjoyed myself. Bike in for MOT yesterday--1 Advisory for the rear disc but as I said to the tester ---If it only needs a rear disc after 75k I'll be well happy :D

Peter.

Googled your A470 Crimea Pass roads for an idea of countryside twists etc.
This is Hellyer Gorge, one of many great rides here.
