old simm card number ?

Hi all,
Is there a way to find out the phone number of a old simm card that's been in the bottom draw to use in a spare phone.

old phones battery US,
I seem to remember a few years back about putting it in a working phone hitting some keys like # & *
to get the number up.

Most service providers kill a phone number if a chargeable call isn't made after 6 months or so. *#06# will give the IMEI of the phone but not the number on the SIM.

Definitely the case - I used and old sim and called it - my phone didn't ring - was answered by a lovely sounding woman, we had a chat for a long time and we've been together ever since!!!!
