the Akra LE was just that, a limited edition fitted with an akra pipe as standard.
The RC8 (non R) was built between 2008-2010. In Orange, Whtie and Black. Early ones were stiff as hell and had some recalls.
The RC8R (Orange not Black frame) was I think 2009 onwards. The 2009 model is the one to have as beyond that I think that the lightest weight wheels were replaced (for cost saving). The R is still available at £13K
Having ridden both the R and normal RC8 I saved the £5K. The differences : slight power increase (at top end), twin plug heads, 95 and 99 RON mapping, gear shift indicator, forged wheels and a paint scheme rather than plain colour are not worth the £5K .

I think I've commented on here before about the adjustability of these bikes. A neighbour had one til recently, and when I was riding behind him (as I usually was) , the riding position for him was much more RT than RR, and he's about 6' 5".
