Me Too, and very affordable as a used machine.......
Funnily enough I was looking at one only yesterday at my local dealers!

Had a look on Ebay and Biketrader at the prices - really cheap.

A lot of bike - for the money

I like that video, that near on high side...jeez and pulling wheelies when overtaking pure class. Its an attractive alternative that i can see the appeal for especially for oddball BMW pilots...nice :D

I thought I fancied one too till I rode it but the engine was a huge disappointment.

Just dosent have the torque a V twin should have, needs The nuts revved off it and the gearbox worked hard which is weird .Totally unlike my 998s which feels as if it will crease tarmac.
I believe the RC8R is a lot better but havent tried one.

No, doesn't work for me.

Another one of these bikes with angles and edges all over the place, but no 'flow' to the styling.

Avoid any non twin spark bikes, crap fuelling and much less desirable than the later ones.

Agree, the styling will "age" appallingly .

On reading the two reports in Ride the later model had better maping, gearbox, and clutch. Much better than the early models.

I do know someone who bought cheap at the start of summer and is no longer an owner. They seem to have plenty of room for the larger rider , this one (maybe it was a bad example ) apparently vibrated badly through the rev range and had a few technical issues, . He's back on a blade at the moment..

My '10 RC8 was a flipping missile. Lumpy at low revs but definately not short of midrange. Lumpiness was tamed with a different map.
A very fast machine, in fact a little too fast really. It never liked going slowly.
