pls see video for short description

Danmoto instructions are crap. the wiring diagram is not clear. I have played with the gauge and got ti to work on my BMW custom with the original wiring harness and connectors.

Original instructions can be found here

Correct instruction

3 Instructions
Setting the tire Circumference
The tire circumference is set in order to correctly calculate the speed of the motorcycle from the Hall Effect sensor mounted to one of the wheel. You need to measure the circumference of the wheel that the Hall Effect sensor is mounted to for the indications to be accurate. One method is to mark the tire and where it touches the ground with some chalk. Then push the motorcycle in a straight line until the chalk mark on the wheel makes one revolution. Mark the ground again and measure the distance between the chalk marks. This is your circumference.

To input the circumference into the cockpit do the following steps.

Turn the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to OFF
Press both buttons
Turn the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to ON
4 numbers appear on the screen, They show the actual set tire circumference.
Release both buttons.
One number is flashing, this one can be adjusted. Press left button to increase flashing number by one. If number shown is correct press right button to confirm and go to next number.
After tire circumference is set the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to OFF

Switch between trip and odo
Press right button fast to switch between trip and odo. Press left button long to reset trip(works only if trip counter is shown).

Switch between Mph and kmh (THIS WAS WRONG IN THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS)
Turn the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to OFF
Press both buttons
Turn the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to ON
Press Right button to switch between khp and mph
Turn the ignition (electricity key switch) of motorcycle to OFF

Hall Sensor Installation
The hall sensor has to be placed on a fixed part of the running gear, next to one of the wheels. The magnet pickup has to be fixed on the wheel, it has to pass the sensor in a distance of about 3mm when the wheel turns.

NOTE ON WIRING DIAGRAM

VOLTAGE (Black) is actually the +12 volt signal not the battery charging indicator light
Warning (White) is the charging indicator
DJ211 Brown is the back light of the unit.
