Lovely looking bike, but hold out for the Factory or the R.

Was tempted myself some years back.

Anyway got a GS as a 2nd bike now, or some might say A Geriatric Special

I approve. :)

My advice, go for the rarest one and it will never owe you anything.

Another piece of Italian Gelato.

I agree with you all that the Factory or R would be more desirable, but they also command even more of the funds that I haven't got
Maybe I'll take my time and see what comes up, but that one in warrington is only 10 miles from me....must...resist

Scroll down or search for Bob Barton. He has what looks like a nice RSV for £2900.

(I've no connection with Mr Barton - it's just one of the FB groups I frequent.)

Factorys have the blingosity but personally I'd be looking for one with a knowledgable owner who's had the sensible mods done - uprated battery cables that mean the bike will start when you press the start button, Aprilia Performance service history, that sort of thing.

Thanks for that link John, good price but not the bike for me, doesn't look tidy enough, too many colours as well, looks like a Bangkok taxi

I was having a play with the BMW finance system Steve, and if I sold my 'cup at a fairly cheap price, and with staff discount and rates I could have an R9T for about £44 a month on PCP, very tempted, there was a customer who had one with a Wunderlich cockpit fairing this week and it really set it off.

£44 per month
not a fan of PCP personally but that would be tempting on an R1200RS!

£44/month sounds attractive for what looks like a cracking machine, but.....................

Scenario 1 sees you still with a BCR at the end of the period

Scenario 2 sees you with a further balloon payment to retain the R9T

Al
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

BTT. Steve, Piaggio are a bunch of xunts to deal with, they treat their dealerships like shite. These bikes have few miles on them cos they spent all summers waiting for spare parts from Italy. No different today. Despite the gorgeous styling and engineering you are dealing with feckless cxnts when it comes to issues. You need to be thick skinned to enjoy the dark side of Italian bike ownership.

Solus dealers have to take it up the ass big style... so the punter suffers as well.

The giver giveth and the keeper keepeth.

As an aside, seeing that pcp has popped up into this topic, on these easy access schemes into renting a bike.. you may be treated like a modern day tenant by the landlord. ie. No respect.
