Cheap, decent quality sockets....
Just picked up a set of Draper Expert 1/2" drive impact sockets for £4.29 delivered on good old fleabay - they usually retail at £20+. I suspect the seller is using them as a loss-leader to boost feedback.....or someone's stolen a job lot of them. Nice addition to my toolbox! The ordinary Draper stuff can be a bit duff, but the Expert range is certainly up to much more heavy-duty use.
Anyway, item no. 162575807471 if anybody fancies a set!

Life time guarantee with Draper Expert. How many people take theses guarantees up, ratchet spanners are the same except the ratchet part isn't, it only covers the open end if it snaps. Good deal if you need them.

Re: UPDATE! Cheap, decent quality sockets....
Morning chaps.
Looking in my Paypal account last night, I noticed that the payment for the sockets is showing as 'unclaimed'. I've had this before, but can't quite recall what the issue was - it was also a transaction with a new seller.
Can I suggest that you check your Paypal accounts also. If they're the same, you can either message the seller to give them a nudge, or there's the option to recall the money.
Tbh, as its only £4, I've just sent the seller a message....if the sockets never turn up, PayPal will refund me/us anyway. I can't see it being a scam if the seller's not actually having the funds away....mind you, I was traffic, not CID!

Just checked PayPal. Payment pending, not accepted by seller.
Odd? I'll give it a few more days.

Re: Cheap, decent quality sockets....
Impact drivers are generally seldom used by the average home mechanic, but the impact driver and socket you require is generally the way to go. I have only used one once on a clutch job. I bought Draper Expert driver, and the socket I needed. Impact driver sockets are 6 sided and have more body to them than the chromevanadium 12 tooth jobs. 6 siders are always tougher but are difficult in confined spaces.
