Is Sandbar still in operation. Their website appears current?
Trying to chase up a Ilmberger hugger for HP2S

I don't think he is the importer anymore and maybe just selling off stock he has but I may be completely wrong on this - I have bought stuff from him in the past and found him a pleasure to deal with but I spoke to staff from Ilmberger at Motorrad Days in Garmisch Partenkirchen and I th9ink there is a new importer into the UK (which I haven't found as good as Sandbar)

I spoke to Nigel a few years ago and he said he was pretty much retired now, may be still selling off old stock as Dave said.

I went to Zero limits for a hugger for an S1000RR and a cover for the exhaust valve for a K13. (Boxermeds from this site put me onto them)

Very good stuff. Not sure if they do HP2 bits but worth an e-mail.

Couldn't find anything on Zero Limits. There's another German company - FF Carbon and they don't appear to do anything for HP2s but I googled Ilmberger and the German site has them in stock at 289.90 Euros - it does look very similar to the 1200S hugger but it says it's for HP2s with no mention of the 12s

Thanks gentlemen, emails sent to Hornig, Zerolimits. Tried US also but was told importers have had quality control issues with Ilmberger products.
Performance Parts Limited in Daventry, Northants, United Kingdom, have one on Ebay which I'm wary of.
My bad for buying an obsolete bike

Performance Parts took over importing Ilmberger from Sandbar - or so Ilmberger told me - their knowledge of BMWs didn't appear to be as good as Sandbars!

re quality control issues - I bought some Ilmberger Head covers for my 12s and they aren't brilliant for the money I paid
