Insurance PITA

Postby SP250 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 5:10 pm

Anyone know the code for the offence of driving in a bus lane?
I made the mistake a couple of years ago and paid the fixed £30 penalty.
Then I shredded & recycled the paperwork and of course all companies won't quote me now for the bike or car as I can't remember the code or the date.

None of the online quote companies has the bus lane infringement on their drop down choice list, and no where to type in any words.
Insurance runs out on Friday and I can't even get a quote.

I get more frustrated with techhnology and the arseholes who write it every day, because they don't think of all the possible options.

Oh and I've spoken to the DVLA and the Bedford police and they can't find it either!!!

Gona be a grumpy night tonight.

Is that not a council issued fine? Fixed Penalty notice. Not sure if there is a code for this, did you get points on your licence?

As far as I can see it counts alongside a parking fine which is not a criminal offence and there are no points so you should not need to declare it.

Cheers H

No points on licence but it was a driving offence wasn't it?

I agree with Humbug - I believe you don't need to declare it if issued by the council.
