Update -

I took Steve out for lunch today and we had a nice little tour of all the closed pubs in a 30 mile radius of his house.
The hospitality industry in Wales was closed.
So we ended up at the Pondy cafe for steak pie and chips.

He looks well enough, but still has a long way to go to shake of the lasting effects of pneumonia.
10 steps up to the car park stopped him in his tracks but he is making slow progress back to health.

Jeez Steve , hope you get sorted mate .

I suffer COPD , and best thing I've ever done was relocate to Spain , the dry warmer air has certainly helped me .

The cold and damp air in UK was sending me down very quickly , more and more antibiotics time and again every year .

John what kind of mate are you? Take a sick guy out on a non event pub crawl? then feed him shxte when he is a gastronome? Guy`s dazed and confused and you want him to feed the parking ticket machine?

Get well Steve hope you see the light side of things. You too john, it`s great having caring mates!

Chris

Thanks for the post and updates John.

Sorry to hear you're having it a bit rough Steve but glad to hear you are on the mend. No doubt a long way to go but keep heading in the right direction Mate.

Cheers.

Steve, you need to jump on a plane to Alicante, come out here and enjoy some warm dry sunshine .

It'll fix you up nicely .

Gerry, can the rest of us form an orderly queue behind Steve, or do we have to be ill first?? :D

I hope Steve gets well soon.

Gentlemen, I’d just like to offer the following in good faith and with the best of intentions.
To anyone who is fighting off an annoying lingering cough or suspect they may have the start of a chest infection , please, please stay off your bike in this winter weather until you get it sorted.

I didn’t follow this simple advice back in 2013 and went touring, admittedly through the sub zero dry air of Nevada ,and my annoying cough promptly turned into full blown pneumonia.

I wouldn’t want anyone to go through that. Three months off work and about a year to feel properly well again. The phrase “coughing your lungs up” is perhaps an over used phrase, but that’s literally what pneumonia feels like, it’s bloody awful, and very serious.

Stay safe, and well.

Jon
