R12S small tank bag suggestions

Postby Sharky » Tue Sep 03, 2019 6:01 pm

Some help please
Looking for recommendations for small tank bag for the R12S
What are the ones that clip to the fuel cap like?
Worried about scratching the new paintwork so I need to consider that.

Not sure I want to spend £200 for a genuine one

Any ideas ?

Cheers
Craig.

Hi Sharky

I use this Givi tankbag
https://www.givi.co.uk/givi-products/so ... 7-tanklock
They do a slightly smaller version I believe, pros easy
on/off and no scratching the paint, well made and good value for the money, cons it sits pretty close to your body even when adjusted to the furthest forward position, and the tank ring isn’t very attractive, but now my bike is Black it doesn’t stand out quite so bad.

I use SW Motech and find them spot on. I have 3 different size bags depending on what I’m doing that day. eBay to reduce the cost?

vote two for SW Motech, I have two bags (large and small) and a tank ring on 3 of my bikes

The Engage bag is a perfect fit for the R1100S. I removed the bit that separates the inside into separate sections. I now carry a clear visor in the front curved area. The size is perfect for everything else with enough room to put the Zumo when I have a coffee break if I can’t keep an eye on the bike.
They shoud have called it the ‘Boxertrix’ bag!

I use BAGSTER tank cover with their bags or a small KRIEGA bag enough for puncture kit, wet weather pants snacks etc. Just move bags between bikes
