A bit of an eye opener today

Postby GerryB » Sun Jan 05, 2020 3:00 pm

Since I bought this bike from Jez several years ago, I've never hammered it , its always been the touring bike , even at IoM I rode it easy .
Some thing happened today , and it was ridden hard, near enough redline in most gears ...
Strange , it really handles well, gear box seems quieter when changing .....
I think we need a serious look at a few go faster bits .
Mind you , I had a big fright, when crossing the double white line at the embalse, the black paint in the middle is slippy , and the back side came gently around .... I thought for a moment it was going to drop , but lucky it was a save ... heart beat up , sphincter clenched ...

Sounds like you at least had some fun with yours over the weekend, all I have done is clean, XCP and polish mine.....it'll be a shame to get it wet and dirty on the way to work tomorrow morning.

Fortunately , not much bad weather here , bikes stay reasonably clean all the time .
