I had a Ducrapi St4 for about 2years. Put a fair few miles on it, using it mainly to and from work. Expensive to maintain if you use dealers for servicing, it proved utterly reliable, apart from a small glitch which was the dealer fitted immobiliser packing up at just the wrong time. I found it comfortable, lovely exhaust note and a gorgeous red.
I only parted company, because of the servicing costs and replaced it with my Bcr.
A damn good swop in my humble opinion...
Never touched it, honest!

Unfortunately if selling that is true but great news if you are in the market for one.

Al, had a severe bout of Wutan man Virus which made me get in tune with my mortality and thus pondered lifestyle options on the horizon, a snoozle is 40 winks . That early morning post was a benylin , ibuprofen induced confluence. I look forward to everyday being a Saturday.

Been off the forum for a while but feel well qualified to comment on this thread, I have an 04 bcr owned since 05 used all over Europe solo and with pillion plus track time a 66 plate r1200rs iconic got at 6 months old toured uk europe solo and with pillion plus 4000 mile tour of the us also have a Ducati st4 owned for about 10 years plus my wife has an r1200r lc that she used when we toured the USA.
The r1200rs is a great bike plenty of power and torque I don't find the electronics intrusive love the gear assist pro, always run it in pillion mode as it jacks the back end up and quickens the stearing, the bcr still feels a sportier ride but I did fit ohlins front and back, the r1100s is still the most comfortable for pillion use, the st4 is higher maintainance but I owne several Ducati and do my owne servicing so it's not a problem.
Any comparisons I can help with just ask

We flew our bikes over for the USA trip, flew them into Vancouver and back from Calgary as it is easier shipping in and out of Canada than the USA, the second home is in France
