Turbo R1200s

Postby MickB » Wed May 13, 2020 8:31 am

I was trawling the German ebay site and came across this. If you need more power and have 13,500 Euros going spare this may be for you.

https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anz ... 93-305-764

The link is to a turboed 1200s, which according to the attached dyno charts is making 167 DIN and some astronomic amount of torque.
It does look to have been very professionally completed. Apart from the inter cooler and the changes to the exhausts it does look surprisingly standard.
Not sure about engine longevity but it should be good while it lasts!

I'm no lawyer, but I suspect that might void the original manufacturers warranty [smilie=dont know.gif]

I think if you rode the thing you'd be constantly anxious about the possibility of [smilie=blowup.gif]

I think I'll stick with my shift cam.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Got to say I'd happily have it and ride it as much as possible. Better to have loved and lost and all that............
