Thanks Al, a very good article.
However as he says, the position in Scotland is not quite there yet, and on the evidence of the last couple of days, summer is over :( .

All the best

Yipee, first ride of 2020 was executed safely yesterday.

Our village golf course will open on Friday for paid up members. We have only ever played the course as visitors not being serious golfers. But improving our golf will add purpose to some of our walks.

It turns out the membership secretary lives 20 miles away, so there ensued a necessary journey ... on the R1100S since that was the only bike street legal.

I was a little anxious at the beginning, not helped by there being 135miles completed since the last refuel. Once there was a full load of new fuel on board I enjoyed it and relaxed.

Hopefully more to come.

Golfcourse opposite me - opens tomorrow. I can see the walkers resenting the ‘intrusion’, to be honest.........

There have even been walkers with a golf-bat ‘walking’ along the fairways.......
