Missus does not like my two up cruiser choice

Postby boxerscott » Sun May 08, 2022 10:26 pm

What should i do?

Quote " it`s like your Griso idea...Crap!" "I feel like i am going to get jettisoned over every bump and every time you run into a field" " Should the gear changes feel like a pile hammer" " Do I have to wear these bloody tassles" I think she is being a bit unreasonable as the Valk is awesome solo and nothing like the Griso in terms of handling or power delivery but sadly it ain`t two up and i think we are spoilt having the brilliant R 1250 R which is the bench mark comparison. So my solution is a happy one.. i`m wearing the tassles, no more cruising for her and this for me...https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-detai ... =price-asc

After owning one of these mighty machines I can testify they are a great bike. Most of my miles were done 2 up, but single or with a pillion it definitely does not disappoint.

Aye its something we may be a wee bit inconsiderate about, failing to consider our other halves. I am absolutely gutted cos the Valk was a two up purchase, 21 years ago (when i had my first one) it was not an issue. It is going along with my racer cos we are doing a self build and no point putting them into storage. The VMax is an ambition ...

Re your situation, I have an airhawk pillion seat inflatable cushion it will give your missus a bit more elevation, you are more than welcome to give it a shot just pm me your address and I will post it to you. We are down your way next month staying near Dittisham. :) :)

Chris

Edit.. I was Joshing about the Tassles and although Jervis is a brilliant bike dealer I wont be making him any richer on that one.

Amanda is doing you a favour Chris. You now HAVE to buy another bike.
Great choice, I'm sure you'll both enjoy it - until you want something different :D !

All the best
