Do I sell the bike with the goodies R1200s

Postby Luke2184 » Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:12 am

Hi Guys,

That time has come to move on from 1200s ownership, I will be listing / advertising her for sale next week. I’m wondering should I include the parts that seem desirable? Or would I get more if I sold them separate.

I have carbon hugger ilimbeger thing.
Silver passenger seat cowl
Heli bars in silver
Spare headlight

Cheers
Luke

I didn’t have a lot of interest when I advertised my GS with all the extra bits included, so I put it back to original spec and sold the aftermarket Exhaust, Vario boxes, tank bags and a few other bits and ended up with £150 more than the original asking price, probably wasn’t worth the bother really, especially as Hermes(Evri) “lost” the Vario boxes and I had to refund buyer and claim compensation from Evri!

The trouble with the 12s now is the very limited market for aftermarket goodies, with approximately 165 bikes registered on the road and less on sorn at the last look it’s a tricky one to call, I would say the rear seat cover will be the most desirable and possibly get a decent price, followed by the hugger. Good luck with your sale whatever you decide.
