I have also been looking for the same as we both have the same helmet. I know that you can get them from the BMW dealers, but as you say they are expensive. I did a trawl on the net a few months ago but found nothing. Being a German speaker I will try again over the next few days and let you know of the outcome.

...not that hard to get it ; I have a genuine BMW dark grey (almost black) tinted visor for my BMW Sport Intregral, and ordered/bought it at my local BMW-dealership. It is a bit expensive though ; around 60 Euros...

Ron,

Sadly, over here in the land of the free, it's illegal to sell a dark tinted visor. Apparently our government's top scientists, after extensive research, have proved that if we were to wear a dark visor at night we would not be able to see where we are going, hence the sale of them is banned

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

...I have to agree on that one ; at night you don't see much with a (dark) tinted visor !...
...when I ride when it is dark, most of the time I open the visor...
Have a nice day !

Hello thfc! nice to see you back on the board!

When dark visors were really hard to come by a few years back, I used to pick mine up in France. Admitedly for Arai's, not the BMW ones.
As it's only 2 weeks till the Le mans 24 hour, if you're going again you may find them at the trade stands over there.

Hope to see you there!
harry.

I've got a tinted visor for my Sport Integral. I got it from the dealer in Ireland. He says they sell loads to the UK all the time. Can't remember the dealers name but look it up on the interweb (Dublin or Cork possibly?). It came almost next day.

It was a bit expensive but it's been worth every penny. Used it this morning. Go for it!

I have trawled the web to see if there are any aftermarket suppliers. I concentrated on Germany, being a speaker, but found only a second hand one on ebay.de, so it looks like I will have to bite the bullet and buy from the BMW dealer.
