Not started yet.Been working on the bikes(?!) trying to make something out of nothing
Seems to be one of those fix one thing and on the way find another 5 things wrong.
But got it up and running.Needs MOT,but local tester is booked up till next Wedsnesday( he says the sun has made it really busy).
It's actually not a bad bike to ride.Got plenty of ooommmpphh for a 598cc twin.
I dread to think what the proper mileage is.Think it's on it's third set of clocks. It smokes a bit when you give it some welly and sounds a bit top-endy.Should really check valves etc(has a little misfire at tickover which might be a bad valve, but want to make sure it passes MOT and runs ok before I dig in deep.

Hey Bailey,.. all the best with the returning license, .. try and keep this one clean mate. Look on the birghtside, .... if you'd been despatching for the past 6 months,.. you'd only have made about 50 quid anyway, ... it hasn't been what you might call 'Busy'. I'll keep an eye out for you on a smoking 600 Twin, ...... but it'll still be faster than my 175K Tango Bandit.
All the best mate,
Geoff

Hey Geoff, did you get wet yesterday??!?! I was just north of Dartford crossing heading to Cambridge when the most outrageous thunder storm erupted.Road was instant lake, visabililty nil,my indicators stopped working and both my brake lights stuck on.Cars were stranded all over.Haven't seen it that bad for some time.
Done a few miles on the beast now.Think about 600 in 3 days;the commute to Cambridge and the daily mileage quickly racks up.Bloody thing drinks oil like crazy.Good on petrol tho compared to all the litre bikes I've run in the past.Seem to get around 250 miles per tank(19 litres).
Must get another seat for it sharpish. The previous woman owner carved 2 inches off the foam to make the bike lower as she was a shorty.
Discovered a marvelous breakers in Ely out on the fens.Lots of cheap Jap spares but nought for Bavaria's finest.
Catch ya soon.
