Insurance database Poll

Postby Boxered » Tue Mar 18, 2008 1:04 pm

Following on from Pb's thread re ANPR related police stops, I thought it might be an idea to see just how many of us uk based trixters are NOT on the database.
if you put your details into www.askmid.com and you are not on the database, please post whether you have a multibike or single bike policy and the name of your insurance co.

Just for fun though.

My bike isn't on...... but more scary than that - I have 5 other vehicles that aren't on either, all covered (allegedly) on a motor trader policy with N.I.G. Guess who will be on the phone to his agent in the morning....
Regards from the chubby one - Neil.

R1200s not on
GSa is on
Blackbird is on, all on multibike policy

Following my comoplaint to them yesterday theyve now threatened to cancel my policy !!!
Apparently my gsa is insured by someone else too and my old tdm is insured by three people, so unless i send proof of ownership ie logbook copies within 7 days they will cancel my policy.

Theres customer service!

Both bikes on a CN policy and both are now on the database. Had a problem in Nov07 when I went to renew my tax online, both bike not logged on the DB. Rang DVLA who stated it is a requirement of the insurance firm, rang CN who said when I pointed out the problem. "Yes sometimes they get missed and not updated".
