A very sad day.

Postby box-doctor » Fri Apr 04, 2008 5:56 pm

I have just heard today that a good friend of mine - Mr Rob Goureley, was killed yesterday evening while on his way to work onhis bike - I for one will miss the old man. He leaves behind his daughter Melanie & 2 sons Lee & Dean as well as various grand children.

It would appear a 'local' imigrant - either Polish or Lithuaniun has not understood a road junction & that was that..... it would also appear that death was instant - just the way he would have wanted it.

The irony is that he has been racing historic motorbikes probably for the last 40 odd years & bites it on his way to work.

RIP Bob - the 20 year old man in a 60 year old body.

.... always makes me sit and think ....

.... you just can't tell when it's your time....

.... I only hope when it's my turn, I'll be on my bike ....

wish you and his relatives the strength to enjoy another sunrise ...

Very sad news indeed.
I lost an old mate last August when he lost control of his Blade up in the highlands. Hadn't seen him for awhile but it still hits you when you hear the news that someone has gone.

My condolences, Cobbster.
