Very unsual Nigel - what's the significance of the pyramid? It's almost surreal.

A cop at the Bologna stage of the Mille Miglia 2012. He looked like he wanted to kill me until I smiled and gave him the thumbs up. His colleague on the right actually started moving towards me.

Richard , it's a mausoleum , my photo is nearly 2 years old ( time flies) I didn't realise at the time how old it was . It has been restored.

Of interest is the Ralph Howard mentioned in the above link of Shelton Abbey.
Shelton abbey is currently an "open Prison"....

I too have been there many times. I hate the place and have vowed never to go back.

I am surprised. I have found Russia fascinating and always had a warm welcome. I have not explored much of it, visiting Moscow. Yaroslavl and Volgograd. The last in particular was a memorable trip.

The Uni I went to sent students to Yaroslavl - I went to Voronezh - in total spent about a year there - mixed feelings about the place - had a long distance relationship with a Russian girl and got to go off the beaten track and meet some "real" Russians and spend time with them - very warm people

The quality of this one isn't great (it's a 6x4" Cibachrome scanned on our cheapo printer) but I'd really like to find somewhere who can properly scan slides as I've loads of this sort of stuff...

ImageScan

Taken on Kodachrome 25 at around 8am on a day in January 1998. Nikon F3/Nikkor AI 50mm f1.4

Wot u need is an enlarger - now it just so happens I have an unused Durst lying around doin nowt

Dave - a Durst would be very nice, except there's no way the Mrs would give it house room! :D
