Now 'that' is a keeper for the family album. Nice One Richard.

Thanks Steve - it was totally un-staged too which made it a nice moment to capture. We'd borrowed a friend's motorhome for the weekend so just took a trundle over to Chapel St Leonards on the Lincs coast for a couple of days. Beautiful beaches when they're totally devoid of other people, bar the odd one or 2 out with their dogs.

Thanks Mitch - it was great to be out and about with the family and able to put the camera to use again. I'm doing the photos for a close friend's wedding this weekend so need the practice. :)

That really could have been a period photo - fantastic light

Loveley area that Richard, I think that this is the same boat house that is in the bottom RHS of your pic, I took this about 10 years ago, I know that the quality is poor by your standards but I'm quite pleased with it considering it was taken with my then pocket camera.

That's gorgeous, Steve - not sure it's the same boat house as on Ullswater though. The one you've photo'd is quite famous and a well-known spot for photographers. :)

Photo'd a friend's wedding last weekend, the 2nd one I've done. This was not professionally I should add, but purely for enjoyment, and of course helping good friends out too. Had a fantastic day.

Thanks Mitch - and I totally agree re candid shots. Wedding photography (from the reading up I've done) has very much moved on from the 'staged' image. The approach now - which I much approve of - is capturing the atmosphere of the day, short moments in time, stuff which cannot be repeated.
