Red front indicator surrounds

Postby SLOSR11S » Thu Mar 01, 2018 2:09 pm

Hi all

So after spending a little time with my R11s I have realised one small that's not to my liking is the aesthetics of the front end. More specifically the front indicator surrounds. Well it's the colour really. I'd prefer them to be red like rest of the bike. Super fussy I know. Anyone know if these were ever produced in red on any models? Or perhaps I'll just have to scratch an itch and get them sprayed!

Only ever produced in black, or aftermarket carbon fibre. If you want them red, then you do indeed need to spray the ones you already have.

good luck

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Possible as you can see, standard paint scheme on 2002 limited Boxer Cup but not available from BMW. Ignore the carbon but gives you an idea...

I feel exactly the same about my blue one. I feel the front end would look much better with those black indicator wedges colour matched. Have been thinking of having those and the front and rear mud guards painted to match.

Tunneruk (Chris I think) frequents here occasionally, he has a good rep on here and the UKGSER forum, think he did the paint job on Paul's 1200rs.

Ooh thanks Al. He's local to me too. I'll give the man a shout and see if anything could be done.
Cheers

Correct, on all counts Al. Take biscuits if you visit him
