Had an email back from Allan at LED Gear.

He has found a source of secondhand gear inicator switches and can modify them to work with his generic gear indicators. The extra cost will be about £20 plus your old neutral switch in return.

Anyone interested then his web address is:-

Decimal is what we call Base 10 numbering, Binary is differant and reads from right to left, as below

128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1

so 10 is actually 1x2 and 0x1 to produce what we would call 2 in decimal

Hence there are on 10 kinds of People in the world........ and you're now one of them

Tomorrow we'll look at Hexadecimal, now that is fun numbers and letters :-)

oh er this high intellectual bollox is too much for me! I think I might have to lie down in a cool place or go away and come back in the spring when we can talk bikes again.

Who knows, hopefully someone on the forum may still be riding an S.
Maybe gromit and Mr D'arth will be back in the fold by then... (tho' malc seems a lost cause!).
