Best bang per buck if you ask me.

Hell they cost me less than £20

This would just about set a Bang-for-Bucks world record.

Bill - remember we still have to corner the market on GS intake tubes before word gets around!

Whenever i see this modification suggested it always makes me laugh, it's not new, it's been going for years.

GS riders fit the RS airbox tubes and rave about the performance improvement.

Now 1100S riders have joined in the merry-go-round. :D

Everyone will fit GS tubes to their 1100S.
A year down the line i'll fit a pair of standard 1100S tubes back onto a customers 1100s and tell him they're special tubes and he'll rave about the performance improvements :D

Yeah - but what an alteration.

Mike B. and I have experienced identical performance results.

In Mike B's words "after 4000rpm, all hell breaks loose". My experience as well. Plus a 20% improvement in fuel economy.

And - every fuelling, surging, idling etc problem I had disappeared in one fell swoop by fitting $20 worth of GS tubes.

Bike is totally stock otherwise.

Yeah - in my opinion - they work.

Go back to an earlier post with a Dropbox link to installation pics.

Cheers

Yes, I understand that it has been around for a long time. But not with a 1100S from what I am aware.

I wanted to try it some time ago, but I didn't think you could with an S

Yes, I know it moves the torque curve, it moves it to the rev range that I use the most, and most other people would too I would guess.

I cant compare my bike to a GS having never ridden one. All I can say is I really like this modification, It suits the way I ride the bike. So they will be staying lol.

Lets face it, anybody can spend about £20 and try it for themselves. They can make up their own mind.

Nothing from the S is cut or altered, so it's a simple job to take them back out if you don't like the results.

Rocket sprockets as well? yes, they add even more to the midrange. I would also loose the cat.

That all makes perfect sense to me. I'm going to try it when I can get round to it. Can anyone tell me what O/D the GS pipes are 'cos I recon I'll find a couple of feet of drainpipe that'll do the job down at B&Q. Seriously :!:

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

That is your finished length after you have pushed the tube in by the way.

9 1/2 inch tip to tip so to speak.
