OEM electrical connectors

Postby BMblB » Tue Aug 11, 2015 12:59 am

Is there a source for OEM electrical connectors?

Specifically I'm looking for the connector for the brake light. I want to add a modulator that flashes the brake light for a moment upon application of the brakes. (Yes, it is legal where I live).

I don't want to cut into the stock wiring harness. I'd prefer to plug the modulator in via the stock connectors.

I went to an auto wrecker and found a few late 90s-early 00s BMWs... cut off a pile of connectors with a healthy pigtail of wires. They charged me pennies for them... and now I have a stash of connectors (pre-wired!) for any work I need to do. Take some photos of typical connectors on your bike, and you'll know what to look for.
