Yep, had my 1200ST done last year at Rainbow. Took about 90 minutes I think.

Yep

Benhams in Wolverhampton did it and the fuel pump flange gasket at the same time on my R1200S, again about 90 minutes and free coffee.

Yes but I'm going to wait until it warms up and take an RS out for a thrash :D .the only downside to this plan is that I know that I'll want one...

I had mine done last year. Fuel tank and flange done. They also updated calibration which made a huge difference and bled the brakes. Only had to pay for brake fluid. No labour charge at all.

They gave me an S1000r for the day which I thrashed mercilessly. All in all a good day out.

BMW do make their mistakes (cars as well) but their dealers do give good service generally and try to make it into an opportunity. How many people went in for a flange recall and came out with a GS?

Hey Guys, consider yourselves lucky that it is safety related, you are only getting a recall because of the risk of serious litigation. Not because BMW think it is the right thing to do.

Make sure your service record is updated.
