Since coming out of its winter hibernation in March, I've had rattling discs....mystery vibes....and now the bloody fuel level strip thing has given up!!
I rolled it out of the garage this morning for a ride - ignition on.....that's odd, thinks me, the tank wasn't full yesterday! Gauge showed full...switched off, back on again....gauge showed absolutely zilch, warning triangle on....but 230 miles to empty on the readout - really odd that as my bike hasn't got the full computer, it only ever gives 'miles to empty' when the low fuel light comes on, and then counts down from 50-ish miles. I assume the '230' is what the computer would think I could do on a full tank...if I had the computer!
Odd indeed.Anyway, I spoke to Roy Gardner over at Croston - he's supplying/fitting/calibrating a new one for me in a couple of weeks....another dent in the holiday spendo!
