Gearbox oil and FDU oil...Which ones ?

Hi, another newbie question. I have searched previous questions...still unsure ...Advice please ! exact oil you guys recommend R1100S gearbox and diff. ? Thankyou - help much appreciated. Andrew

The original factory recommended oil is SAE 90 GL , ( correction should read GL5) obviously oils are constantly evolving so I use what's available locally to me which happens to be Eurol Fultrasyn 75w90 GL3/4/5 as listed in their online oil advisor. Part number E110076 1L

Afaik GL5 is the important bit and GL5 is an EP oil although not all manufacturers print EP on the containers .
As above the BMW workshop manual states SAE 90 GL5 , that's why I posted the link above and checking with other manufacturers they all list similar although don't mention EP. Alternatively Opie oils (in the business section on here) have an advice line /email enquiry section.

I use Halfords 80/90 gear oil, 1ltr gearbox about a 1/4ltr rear diff or up to the Inner lower edge of the bolt hole same with gearbox! but check your manual!!

im running miller oils , their crx75 90 nt the nt is nano tech ,,, i think that translates into molly or tungsten di sulphide or the likes in it ,,, but it seems to be doing the job , and its not tragically dear .
