ignition switch

Postby stevesilver » Mon Jul 31, 2017 11:13 am

Had this on my blade years ago which was solved by dry lube(stop sniggering) a silicon based lubricant.
The ignition switch no longer turns enough to activate the steering lock.
Have soaked it with WD40 and Dry lube but key still wont turn.

Any suggestions?

Had a similar problem on one of my bikes but turned out to be a nasty git having had a go at the steering lock by wrenching the bars when it was parked. Seems it had bent the lug and the lock couldnt engage under normal operation. It was the locating pin and not the lock that was at fault.
Hope thats not the case with yours.
