R1100S screens

I'm about 6'1" tall. I changed the stock BMW screen for one of the Skidmarx ones, but it is very flexy and seems to direct nearly as much air onto my bonce....I note you can also get either of 2 MRA screens (one with spoiler, one split in the middle) or a Powerbronze Doublebubble type.
Does anyone have any views on any/all of the above?

My original screen started splitting at the mounting screw holes as I was taking it off with the mirrors and refitting it regularly to put the bike into my Renault Espace for about 4 or 5 trips to the 'Ring each year.
I replaced it with a higher one from Motorworks here -
http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/ ... 5_30_TA_55 at the bottom of the page.
It's a bit thinner than the original one and for road riding it's ok.
I'm 6 feet tall but still have the wind on my head but it does keep the worst off up to shoulder level.

I bought one from Skidworx .

I asked and they made it about 2 inches longer than the standard one .

I find its great, however , remember its a sports bike fairing so at best you will only get total protection if you are crouched low .

I've just ridden 900km through spain average about 80 mph . Into a head wind, i rested on my tank bag , and was almost completely out of the wind , but normal riding you still get wind on the neck and helmet .

Yep

All the rear seats out and the bike in diagonally, front wheel behind drivers seat and the numberplate was 2" clear of the rear window.
It wasn't a grande espace either, just a normal wheelbase one.
Was a much more sensible way to do the 'Ring, as the boring motorway miles were done listening to my CD or radio in the dry and didn't wear out expensive track day tyres before you get there. Or have to change tyres for the ride home. Kipped in it alongside the bike a few times as well.

Many thanks for all the replies, but does anyone have any views on either the Powerbronze or MRA screens, as available via Motoworks?

I've got a Powerbronze double bubble fitted to my BCR - can't say that I've really had problems - I'll be using it for work next week so will report back

I've got a taller MRA one with the little lip, and it does make it better, but as others have said, it doesn't 'fix' it, it is after all, a sports bike.
But it did make a big difference with the erm, *cough* vibrating helmet...
Incidentally, might be selling it too, as I bought the screen to better enable touring and regular long distance work on the 11s, but since decided it was far too nice an example to wreck in that manner, so I bought a 12rt instead...!
Now deciding whether I can justify both bikes, or for example, sell the bits I don't need for the 11s...

That's not the 'split' one is it? If so, would consider buying if you want to PM me with a couple of photos....

Can't say I know what a 'split' one is, but this is what's fitted to my bike... The original is in front of the new one for comparison.
Any more info needed, let me know.

And yes, if you wanted it I'd even remove the bugs.

Must say, it does change the airflow quite a bit. But not as much as a 1200rt.

Used my Boxercup for work and sitting at an indicated 80 I didn't have any problems with buffeting - Powerbronze double bubble - I'm about 6' 1". Haven't had the original screen on for a while so it's difficult to make a direct comparison
