Factory Alarm not working

Postby jmhill373 » Thu Jul 12, 2018 9:18 am

Hi,

My factory fitted R1200S alarm isn't working.

Is it possible for the fob to become out of sync with the alarm unit?

Hello,

There is an internal battery in the alarm unit which you can change yourself and it does go after a few years. That might be your issue?

Not much help but I got a replacement from Maplins....

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

David

Hi

Opened the alarm up batteries are at 100%?

Any other ideas? could it be the wiring or is the unit kaput?

Jon

If it's the same as mine DWA6 then the manual states that if the buttons are pressed 256 times outside range of receiver then it will need to be synchronised.

Procedure as follows

Press and hold down buttons 1 and 2 LED on fob flashes

LED stops flashing after 10 sec then release buttons 1 and 2

Press button 1 or 2 LED on fob should remain off

job done

Don't forget ignition needs to have been recently activated for alrm to be set.

Hope this helps
